Welcome to REUNI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the REUNI mobile application and services. By creating an account or using REUNI, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Important: Please read these Terms carefully. By using REUNI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using REUNI, you agree to:
- Be bound by these Terms of Service
- Comply with our Privacy Policy
- Follow our Refund Policy
- Abide by all applicable laws and regulations
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and REUNI ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Eligibility
To use REUNI, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be currently enrolled at a university or higher education institution
- Have a valid university email address
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable laws
By using REUNI, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Account Creation
To use REUNI, you must create an account by providing:
- Your full name
- Valid university email address
- University name and degree course
- Password
3.2 University Verification
All users must verify their university email address. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that cannot be verified or are found to be fraudulent.
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Not sharing your account with others
3.4 Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent activity
- You sell used or invalid tickets
- You harass or abuse other users
- You provide false information
- Your account remains inactive for an extended period
4. Using REUNI Services
4.1 Marketplace Purpose
REUNI is a peer-to-peer marketplace that enables university students to:
- List event tickets they can no longer use
- Purchase tickets from other verified students
- Connect with students across different universities
4.2 Listing Tickets
When listing a ticket, you agree to:
- Provide accurate event information (name, date, location)
- Upload a genuine ticket screenshot or valid transfer link
- Set a fair price for your ticket
- Only list tickets you legitimately own
- Not list tickets that have already been used or cancelled
- Transfer the ticket to the buyer promptly after sale
- Respond to buyer inquiries in a timely manner
4.3 Purchasing Tickets
When purchasing a ticket, you agree to:
- Pay the listed price in full
- Use the ticket for the intended event
- Not resell the ticket on REUNI or elsewhere
- Verify ticket details before purchase
- Report any issues with the ticket immediately
4.4 Prohibited Activities
You must NOT:
- List fake, fraudulent, or already-used tickets
- Purchase tickets with the intent to resell at higher prices
- Engage in price gouging or unfair pricing practices
- Use REUNI for commercial ticket scalping
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use automated tools or bots to access the service
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the platform
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Share personal contact information publicly to avoid platform fees
5. Payments and Fees
5.1 Payment Processing via Stripe Connect
All payments on REUNI are processed through Stripe Connect, a secure third-party payment platform. By using REUNI, you agree to Stripe's terms and services:
5.2 How Payments Work
For Buyers:
- When you purchase a ticket, payment is processed immediately through Stripe
- Your payment card details are sent directly to Stripe - we never see or store them
- Funds are held securely until the seller transfers the ticket to you
- You'll receive a payment confirmation via email
For Sellers:
- To receive payments, you must create a Stripe Express account when you list your first ticket
- Stripe will collect necessary information for identity verification (KYC/AML compliance)
- You'll provide bank account details directly to Stripe for payouts
- Funds are transferred to your bank account after successful ticket transfer to the buyer
- Payout timing typically takes 2-7 business days depending on your bank
5.3 Transaction Fees
REUNI charges service fees for facilitating transactions. Fees will be clearly disclosed before you complete a transaction and may include:
- Platform service fee (percentage of transaction or fixed amount)
- Payment processing fees (charged by Stripe)
- Currency conversion fees (if applicable)
All fees are deducted automatically from the transaction amount.
5.4 Supported Payment Methods
Through Stripe, we accept:
- Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Debit cards
- Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) where available
5.5 Payment Security
Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, the highest security standard in the payments industry. Your payment information is:
- Encrypted during transmission
- Never stored on REUNI's servers
- Protected by Stripe's advanced fraud detection systems
5.6 Seller Payouts

- Sellers receive payment after successful ticket transfer to the buyer
- Funds may be held temporarily (24-48 hours) to ensure transaction completion
- We reserve the right to withhold payment if fraud is suspected
- Stripe may hold funds for additional verification in accordance with their policies
- Sellers are responsible for any taxes on their earnings
5.7 Currency
All prices on REUNI are displayed in British Pounds (GBP £). Stripe may offer currency conversion at checkout for international cards.
5.8 Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- The transaction will not be completed
- You'll be notified immediately
- You may retry with a different payment method
- The ticket listing will remain available for purchase by others
6. Refunds and Buyer Protection
Please refer to our separate Refund Policy for detailed information. Key points include:
6.1 Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- The seller's ticket has already been used or is invalid
- The seller fails to transfer the ticket after payment
- The ticket does not match the listing description
- The event is cancelled by the organizer (subject to conditions)
6.2 Immediate Refund Guarantee
If you purchase a ticket that has already been used, we will provide an immediate full refund and permanently ban the seller from the platform.
6.3 No Refunds For
- Change of mind after purchase
- Inability to attend the event
- Disputes about ticket price
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 REUNI's Rights
All content on REUNI, including the app design, logo, features, and functionality, is owned by REUNI and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
- Reverse engineer or decompile the app
7.2 User Content
When you post content on REUNI (listings, photos, messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service.
You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for ensuring you have the right to post it.
8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Important Legal Information:
8.1 Service "As Is"
REUNI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations about:
- The accuracy or reliability of listings
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- The authenticity of tickets listed by users
- Outcomes of transactions between users
8.2 User Responsibility
You acknowledge that:
- REUNI is a marketplace platform, not a ticket seller
- Transactions occur between users, not with REUNI
- You are responsible for verifying ticket details before purchase
- We cannot guarantee the validity of every ticket
8.3 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, REUNI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from user transactions
- Inability to use the service
- Actions or omissions of other users
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of REUNI shall not exceed the amount you paid in fees to REUNI in the 12 months prior to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless REUNI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or the rights of others
- Your use of the service
- Content you post on REUNI
- Your transactions with other users
10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 User Disputes
If you have a dispute with another user:
- Try to resolve it directly with them first
- Contact our support team if you need assistance
- We may mediate disputes but are not obligated to do so
- We may provide refunds at our discretion based on our Refund Policy
10.2 Disputes with REUNI
If you have a dispute with REUNI:
- Contact our support team first to seek resolution
- If unresolved, disputes shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales
- Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms in the app
- Sending an email notification
- Displaying a prominent notice in the app
Your continued use of REUNI after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the service.
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
13. Third-Party Services
REUNI may integrate with or link to third-party services (payment providers, event platforms). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties. Your interactions with them are governed by their own terms and policies.
14. Communication
By using REUNI, you consent to receive communications from us via:
- Email (transactional and service-related messages)
- Push notifications (if enabled)
- In-app messages
You can opt out of marketing communications but will continue to receive essential service notifications.
15. Termination
15.1 Your Right to Terminate
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account through app settings
- Contacting our support team
15.2 Our Right to Terminate
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Harm other users or the platform
- Are reported for policy violations
15.3 Effects of Termination
- You will lose access to your account and data
- Active listings will be removed
- Pending transactions may be cancelled or completed based on circumstances
- Some provisions of these Terms will survive termination (e.g., liability limitations, indemnification)
16. General Provisions
16.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and REUNI.
16.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
16.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
16.4 Assignment
You may not transfer or assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to another entity.
16.5 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
17. Student-Specific Provisions
Because REUNI is designed for university students:
- You must maintain active student status to use the platform
- We may verify your enrollment status periodically
- Accounts may be suspended upon graduation (with prior notice)
- Alumni access may be provided at our discretion
By using REUNI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
