At REUNI, we're committed to ensuring safe and fair transactions for all users. This Refund Policy outlines when refunds are available, how to request them, and what our responsibilities are as a marketplace platform.
Our Promise: If you purchase a ticket that has already been used or is invalid through no fault of your own, you will receive an immediate full refund, and the seller will be permanently removed from the platform.
1. Understanding REUNI's Role
Important: REUNI is a peer-to-peer marketplace platform that connects student buyers and sellers. We facilitate transactions but are not the ticket sellers ourselves. However, we provide buyer protection to ensure your safety.
What This Means:
- Transactions occur between individual students (users)
- REUNI provides the platform, security, and payment processing
- We actively monitor for fraud and protect buyers
- We enforce strict policies against fraudulent sellers
2. When You CAN Get a Refund
2.1 Used or Invalid Tickets (Automatic Refund)
Immediate Full Refund Guaranteed
If the ticket you purchased has already been used, is invalid, or has been cancelled by the seller, you will receive an immediate 100% refund.
What qualifies:
- Ticket has already been scanned/used at the venue
- Ticket barcode/QR code is invalid or doesn't work
- Ticket has been cancelled by the original seller
- Ticket was never actually owned by the seller (fraud)
What happens to the seller:
- Permanent ban from REUNI platform
- Account immediately suspended
- All active listings removed
- Reported to relevant authorities if fraud is suspected
2.2 Ticket Not Transferred
If the seller fails to transfer the ticket to you within 24 hours of purchase, you are eligible for a full refund.
Requirements:
- You must report the issue within 48 hours of purchase
- You must have attempted to contact the seller
- The event date has not yet passed
2.3 Misleading Listing
If the ticket you receive does not match the listing description in a material way, you may be eligible for a refund.
Examples include:
- Wrong event, date, or venue
- Different ticket type than advertised (e.g., general admission vs. VIP)
- Ticket is for a different quantity than stated
Note: Minor discrepancies (e.g., different seat section but similar view) may not qualify for a refund but will be reviewed case-by-case.
2.4 Event Cancelled by Organizer
If the event is officially cancelled by the event organizer (not the seller), refund eligibility depends on the original ticket's terms:
- If the original ticket is refundable: The seller must refund you, and they can claim their refund from the original vendor
- If the original ticket is non-refundable: REUNI is not responsible for refunds, as this is beyond our control and the seller's control
We will work with both parties to facilitate fair resolution where possible.
2.5 Technical Issues on Our Platform
If you were charged due to a technical error on our platform (e.g., double-charged, incorrect amount), you will receive an immediate full refund of the erroneous charge.
3. When You CANNOT Get a Refund
No Refunds Available For:
3.1 Change of Mind
- You decide you no longer want to attend the event
- You found cheaper tickets elsewhere
- You don't like the event anymore
- Your plans changed
Solution: You can re-list the ticket on REUNI to sell it to another student.
3.2 Personal Circumstances
- You get sick and can't attend
- You have an exam or assignment due
- Your friends can no longer go with you
- Transportation issues prevent you from attending
Solution: Re-list your ticket on REUNI to recover your money.
3.3 Price Disputes
- You think you paid too much
- You disagree with the seller's asking price after purchase
- The price dropped after you bought
Note: All prices are clearly shown before purchase. By completing the transaction, you agree to the price.
3.4 Valid Ticket Receipt
- You received a valid, working ticket as described
- The ticket matched the listing
- The seller fulfilled their obligations
There are no refunds simply because you changed your mind after receiving a valid ticket.
3.5 Event Policy Changes
- Event time or date changed (but event still occurring)
- Lineup or performer changes
- Venue changes
- Event policy updates (e.g., ID requirements)
These changes are made by event organizers, not sellers, and do not qualify for refunds through REUNI.

- Facilitating refunds where possible
- Helping re-list tickets for modified events
- Providing REUNI credit as compensation
10.2 Fraudulent Buyers
Sellers are protected against fraudulent refund claims. If a buyer falsely claims a ticket is invalid when it's not, they will be banned and may face legal action.
